The goal of Integrative Medicine is to treat the whole person, encompassing mind, body, and spirit, rather than just the physical symptoms. It focuses on understanding the root causes and addresses them to promote healing and overall well-being. In Integrative Medicine, mainstream medicine and complementary therapies are used together, in a coordinated manner.
A core belief is that each client is unique and that each client needs a personalised treatment plan. The first step is to determine what a particular client needs to achieve their wellness goals.
Good health is an outcome of balance/homeostasis, and we explore how balanced clients are on the Five Major Pillars of Health: Mind, Body, Emotions, Social, and Spirit. A good balance in these five pillars is critical to living life with joy.
We examine various topics, such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, relationships, spirituality, and significant life events. The results help us to address not only symptoms but also the underlying root causes. As we examine these pillars, we explore why imbalances have occurred in a client’s life and ways to correct those.
This is a collaborative effort, and it places a client in control of their health. This journey requires a commitment from the client to put in the work that is needed. We are here to partner with you in your journey towards wellness.
We suggest natural treatments that are free of side effects. However, if you are working with conventional medicine, we can complement that when appropriate.
We do not diagnose or prescribe; we work with you and support you on your journey in whatever way is needed.
